"The new rules come into force on July 25"

On July 25, new rules for the entry of foreign citizens into the territory of the Russian Federation come into force.

Foreigners arriving in Russia must provide the results of a PCR test for COVID-19, performed no earlier than 3 days before the trip. Now the results of the study must be provided using the mobile application "Traveling without COVID-19".

For foreigners entering our country from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, the norm comes into force on September 1, 2021.

Rospotrebnadzor clarified that these rules will not apply to those citizens who enter Russia from third countries through the territories of the EAEU member states in transit or with a short stopover. However, they are required to provide a document with the results of a negative PCR test.

Citizens of the Russian Federation are required to undergo a single laboratory test for COVID-19 using the PCR method within 3 calendar days from the date of arrival in the Russian territory. Until the results of the study on COVID-19 are received, observe the isolation regime at the place of residence (stay). If you have been vaccinated against COVID-19 within the last 12 months or if you have had a COVID-19 disease in the last 6 months, a PCR laboratory test is not required when you return to the Russian Federation. Installing the COVID-19 Free application for Russian citizens when entering the Russian Federation is optional.

The department noted that the application "Traveling without COVID-19" is a modern solution that allows you to return the transparency of borders, helping to reduce the risk of virus penetration in countries, guaranteeing the authenticity of the digital test certificate for COVID-19.
