The Russian government has approved a two-year plan of activities for implementing the Concept of State Migration Policy. The corresponding directive was signed by the Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin.
The two-year plan includes more than 40 activities covering a wide range of aspects, such as regulating the entry of foreign citizens into Russia, supporting the adaptation process, ensuring the free movement of students, scientific and educational workers, preventing violations of migration legislation, and more.
Various agencies, including the Ministry of Digital Development, Labor and Social Protection, Economic Development, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Education, Science, the Federal Security Service, Roskomnadzor, Rosfinmonitoring, the operator of the biometric system with the participation of the Central Bank, and executive authorities of regions, are responsible for implementing the activities.
The Concept of State Migration Policy for the period from 2019 to 2025 was approved by the President of Russia in 2018 and was updated in 2023 by the decision of the head of the state.
